Ring. Ring. “Hello London? Yes, this is Joe Biden.  I need 136 rooms please.  Oh that will be $459,388.65 . Great. Do you accept American Tax dollars? Beautiful.”

As President Obama continues his halt on White House tours due to the sequestration cuts and closes down numerous Air Control towers, Vice-President Joe Biden spends right at one million dollars, (pinky to mouth) on one night in London and one night in Paris.

The trip actually occurred last month but news of the cost of the trip is just now surfacing as people are outraged over the President’s “make it hurt” policy for sequestration cuts.  The funny detail being that it’s not even cuts, just a decrease in the increase of spending.  They like to leave out that pesky little detail however.

Meeting with foreign leaders and dignitaries is understandably a part of Joe Biden’s job description even if it is as embarrassing as hell to send him.  And I would never want the security details decreased or ever put one of our leaders in harms way. But really?  A million dollars for two nights?  You can’t find a way to cut back there at all?

I don’t understand why so many FAA towers are being closed but the President had no problem spending one million dollars (pinky to mouth again) playing golf with Tiger Woods.  Not to mention in the same weekend he spent 8 hours with a $1000 dollar-an-hour golf coach.  I have no idea who paid for that, but I would really like to know.

Yesterday, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz insinuated her staffers were on the brink of starvation because of the sequestration cuts.  I know right?  Because I have to eat like peanut butter and jelly every day.  And her staffers are really in a tough spot.  The highest paid only make around $160,000 dollars a year.  The lowest paid are between $60k and $100k per year.

So the lowest paid could only buy 32,000 loaves of bread and jars of peanut butter with that.

The Capitol cafeteria has lunches for between $2 and $7 dollars that sound a whole hell of a lot better than  peanut butter and jelly.  You can get a bowl of Ham and Bean soup for $2 bucks or stuffed Chicken with asperagas and mashed potatoes for $7 dollars. Really?  She’s going to complain about that really?

Her staffers make 3 times the amount of the average American.

The whole point being this entire sequestration thing is a bunch of Democrats stomping their feet like little three-year olds who didn’t get their way. This was the President’s idea to begin with.  He is wanting the average American to hurt from it, a la no White House tours for kids. But he has no problem what-so-ever dropping a million dollars over one weekend for his personal pleasure.

And yes, I have a big problem with that.

It shows you their true character. It reveals their true nature. They aren’t worried about the lives of everyday Americans being effected. They are worried about votes and exploiting a situation for their political gain.

In other words, different day, same story.

Oh, and Debbie-Wasserman Schultz also hopped Air Force One and traveled to Israel. Who is paying for that and how much did it cost?  Whatever it is, I bet you could buy lunch for your staffers with it.

Drops microphone. Exits stage right.
